How do I get Marisol's bun in without damaging the curls and getting it to stay without a ton of hair clips and jazz? I'm trying to get her to look like Josie's sister Clara, but I just can't figure out how to do it. I'm scared to death of damaging her hair!!!! She does look cute in the outfit I have for her though.... I'm hoping to take a pic of her today...esp if I can get instructions on how to do the hair. Thanks!!!

it didn't damage her hair when we did it, but we did have to use all of them. And the bobby pins kept coming out. So, I guess I am not the best person to ask about it.

Thanks anyway! I'll try some pins, but I'm still scared of ruining her hair. If I do find a way to do it, I will let everyone know.

I don't even worry about messing her hair up. I brush it out and her curls turn to waves BUT all you have to do is comb your fingers through her hair several times and they go back to curly! Anyone else want to add a second opinion?

I pinned Marisol's ponytails up, similar to the style of Josefina when she's in her birthday dress, and then stuck in the chopsticks from the Butterfly Brocade outfit (okay, I know they're not *really* chopsticks!). It was like that for over two months. I was slightly concerned about her curls, but when the bobby pins came out, I misted and fingercurled. Today, she looks just like she did the day she came! I don't think you have anything to worry about, as long as you're not using a curling iron or scissors!

While surfing ballet websites, I found these two links for making a bun in a girl's hair. Working with doll hair will be different than human hair but maybe this info can be followed a little. I wouldn't put gel or spray on a doll's hair though, just water mist.
